A very warm welcome to Cheshire Mersey Wine School. We are a local, independent wine education company which specialises in hosting wine tastings and wine courses in Liverpool & Chester. Our courses are open to everyone and anyone; no previous wine tasting experience is necessary. We also host fantastic Private & Corporate wine tasting events too! We look forward to welcoming you on our wine tasting journey.

Cheshire Mersey Wine School is an independent wine education company, not affiliated to any wine merchants or retailers. We do not sell wine, we run Wine Tastings and Wine Courses for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it (no previous wine tasting experience necessary).

Venues and Times

Cheshire Mersey Wine School uses three main venues, all in the heart of Liverpool & Chester and easy to reach (We can also offer tastings across Cheshire in other private venues as well as at your own home!)

LIVERPOOL

Our LIVERPOOL Evening Wine Tastings & Courses are held at the lovely Jury's Inn 31 Keel Wharf, Liverpool, L3 4FN. An ideal Liverpool city-centre location, with a fantastic array of pubs, restaurants and transport options nearby. The scenic Albert Dock is only a short walk away, while numerous cafés, restaurants and bars are at the hotel's doorstep. The hotel itself is sleak and modern, with all the facilities you'd expect from a top-class, city centre hotel.

Our LIVERPOOL Saturday courses take place at Liverpool's Luxury Malmaison Hotel. A beautiful luxury hotel that brings back the flair of Liverpool's rich maritime history! The day will include a welcome glass of Champagne, a delicious 3-course restaurant lunch, and of course an amazing day sampling delicious wines tutored by WSET-qualified local wine tutors Mark & Rich!

CHESTER

Our CHESTER Evening courses & Saturday Wine Courses (11am-4pm) are held at The Abode Chester, Grosvenor Road, Chester, CH1 2DJ.

Saturday Wine Courses are held in the fabulous Paddock Suite at Michael Caines Fine Dining restaurant located on the fifth floor, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside & racecourse - The restaurant even includes a glass-fronted, temperature controlled wine room as a stand out feature with more than 150 wines on the ABode Chester wine list!
